Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how SGYieldHub ("we", "us") handles information when you visit sgyieldhub.com. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible while keeping the site useful.

What we collect

SGYieldHub is a static informational site. We do not require registration, do not ask for your name or email to view any content, and do not collect financial or identity information.

We may collect the following when you visit:

• Technical logs from our hosting provider (Cloudflare) — IP address, user agent, timestamps, requested URLs. Used for abuse prevention, performance monitoring, and security. Retained by Cloudflare according to their policy.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics — a small script from our hosting provider counts page views. It sets no cookies and does not identify you or follow you to other sites. It records the page you viewed, the website you came from, your country, and your browser and device type, and we see these only as totals. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
• Our own referrer counter (host only) — switched off. Separately from Cloudflare Web Analytics above, the site contains code that could count the domain you came from, such as bing.com, together with a broad category such as "search" or "social", but it is switched off and records nothing. If we switch it on, this section will say so first. It would be counted at our server; it would set no cookie, run no script in your browser, and work whether or not you accept cookies. We would not record the full referring address, any query or search terms in it, the page you landed on, your IP address, or your user agent. The counts would be aggregate only and could not be traced back to a visit or a person.
• Local storage preferences — if you interact with the cookie consent banner, your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. The sponsored bar (below the site header) similarly keeps a small rotation value in sessionStorage — see "Affiliate links" below. Neither is a cookie, and neither leaves your device.

Cookies

Google AdSense uses cookies to personalise and measure ads on this site. Choose Essential only on the cookie banner and you get non-personalised ads from your next page. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie choices at the foot of every page. Your choice is kept in your browser, so clearing site data resets it. The cookies involved:

• Analytics cookies — pseudonymous only, used to count visitors and understand which pages are useful. We run no analytics cookies: visitor counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics (above), which sets none.
• Advertising cookies — Google AdSense is live on this site. Google may set advertising cookies to serve, personalise and measure ads. These can personalize ads or measure ad performance. Declining does not remove the ads: with Essential only you see non-personalised ads from your next page, and Google may still use cookies for those, to cap how often an ad repeats and for aggregated ad reporting. The site works fully either way. See Google's advertising policy.

You can clear or block cookies via your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not break the site — all content remains accessible without cookies.

The sponsored bar keeps its rotation state in sessionStorage — not a cookie, not used for tracking, and cleared when you close the tab.

Third-party services

The site uses these third parties:

• Cloudflare — hosting and CDN. Sees your IP and request metadata. Privacy policy.
• Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) — we fetch SSB, T-bill and SGS data, including the daily benchmark yields, from MAS's public API server-side; S-REIT figures are curated from each issuer's investor-relations publications. You do not connect to MAS or those issuers directly when browsing our site; only our ingest scripts do. See MAS's privacy statement.
• Google AdSense (live, opt-in) — ads are served on this site. If you accept cookies, Google may set cookies to serve and measure them. You control this via the consent banner; declining does not remove the ads, it limits the cookies used to personalise and measure them.
• Shopee (affiliate links) — the sponsored bar below the site header, and the sponsored card at the end of SSB, T-bill and SGS detail pages, link to Shopee with an affiliate tracking code. We see aggregate click counts only. See the "Affiliate links" section below.

Affiliate links

The site shows a sponsored product bar just below the header and, at the end of SSB, T-bill and SGS detail pages, a sponsored product card. Both link to Shopee and are labelled "Sponsored · we earn a commission". If you tap one and buy something, SGYieldHub may earn an affiliate commission — at no extra cost to you.

Each link carries a Shopee tracking code (a "Sub ID") so we can see aggregate click counts in Shopee's affiliate reports, per product and per placement — we receive no personal data, only counts. Which products are shown rotates using a small random value kept in your browser's sessionStorage; it is cleared when you close the tab and never leaves your device. It is not a cookie and is not used for tracking. Once you are on Shopee, Shopee's privacy policy applies.

Your rights (PDPA / GDPR)

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, if applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access any personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Withdraw consent for processing at any time
• Request deletion of your personal data

Since we collect no direct personal data (no accounts, no forms that ask for identity), these rights are largely automatic — simply clear your cookies and stop visiting. For Cloudflare logs, Cloudflare handles data subject requests per their policy linked above.

Data retention

We retain no personal data ourselves. Cloudflare retains logs per their policy (typically 7-30 days for operational logs). Cloudflare Web Analytics holds its aggregate page-view counts under the same policy. The counts from our own referrer counter are not collected today; if switched on, they would be held by Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine for three months and are not personal data.

Children

SGYieldHub is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be noted in a banner on the home page for at least 30 days.
